Last month, September 2010, according to Google Analytics I got 370 visitors from linkreferral!
How it works: If you are active, you will get visitors. Each day I visit 30 websites, give 5 reviews and 1 forum post, I get between 15-30 visits to my blog! It is also a good way to recieve reviews of your own blog. |

Google Friend Connect
This is more of an widget connection thingy that Google has created. You will find it on most blogs, and the purpose of it is to create a connection between the visitor and blogger.
Last month, September 2010, according to Google Analytics I got 80 visitors from Google Friend Connect!
How it works: I personally don't have it on my personal blog, I prefer Networked Blogs. But I still have an account with Google, because this is by far the most popular "follow" widget on peoples blogs. And usually when I follow someone, they pay a visit to my blog. Perhaps out of curiosity, or because they want to return the favor. Either way, it does work as a way to attract visitors! |

| Create an Official Facebook Page for your blog or website. It allows your visitors to communicate and share. Something which is much appreciated. |
Create a Twitter account for your blog. It is a great way to keep your visitors updated with news and recommendations from you. |
The Blog Frog is an Online Community where you will find a lot of fellow bloggers. And if you are active it can result in many vivitors. |
BlogCatalog is another popular Online Community, mostly for bloggers. Because it has recently changed layout and functions, I do feel a bit unsure about it. But it has worked well in the past for me, so I'll include it for that reason. |

But to succeed at all, I believe the most important thing is to be a positive, constructive and active participant yourself. Wich means visiting and leaving relevant comments on other peoples blogs/websites, and don't be shy to follow as well. Just think about what you want for yourself, and then give it to someone else :-)
